| Overview Mission Statement Principal's Message Faculty and Staff EESAC Students' Section Academic Programs Specialized Programs Corporate Academy North is located at 5120 N.W. 24th Avenue. The program has been moved in 1997, 1998 and most recently in 2003, to our present Brownsville campus, the former site of Floral Heights Elementary School. We perceive the move to this facility as a final home site and are committed to working with the district toward solutions to some of its challenges. The larger size of the campus has blessed the program with more classroom space and outdoor space, yet the age of the facility requires some major upgrades particularly in the area of moisture and mold abatement- a condition primarily the result of outdated air handlers throughout the facility being in need of replacement. Yet, this site has expanded the programs academic breadth because it has doubled the size of our media center and our science lab, increasing future potential for academic enhancements. The current site administrator has proactively resolved some of the challenges relating to the facility through constant communication with district level project managers and district personnel. The site administrator forsees the correction of these problems within the 2004-2005 academic school year. The school is wired to provide Internet and Intranet access in
100% of the classrooms. The media center is the heart of a school-wide
closed circuit television system. CAN has two computer labs to support
both our business technology and CISCO Networking programs. Additionally,
a computer-driven career lab is set up in the office of our career specialist. |
